I also tried the latest version with a simple model of a chair and had a similar result. Since it's small, it may help isolate the issue.
Ed, did you CREATE that scene with release 2.10.0.12 of the plugin installed?

EDIT: The chair has a texturemap in the diffuse plug - however if I "Reconvert from Revit", it is just a Red color. Where did the texturemap comes from pls? Was it the default material, the Revit material, or did you manually add the texturemap?

Thanks

Paul

Morning Paul

All seems to be working well now however the specified material still doesnt come thru when I first open octane window.

I have to select the floor for example and the "reconvert from Revit" like you said.

These materials are from Revit

otherwise works like acharm.

Also, what is the "Beauty" Button for?

I think what has happened is that the "Import Material from ORBX" feature has caused a situation where texturemap files were being loaded incorrectly in some situations, and that "blanked" out the image filename in the Octane material - which was then saved to the rvt file. So you will need to "Reconvert from Revit" to get everything relinked. However there is another issue I am correcting at the moment which is causing the popping of the "Cannot connect node...." message that Ed is getting with the chair. I think that error is caused when potentially moving assets between Revit scenes and the material identifier that Revit uses is changed.

Beauty is the RGB render pass (the normal one you are used to). You can enable additional passes as per http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Revit/?page_id=579

A further test update:

2.10.0.14
- Fix error when the saved material names do not match the current scene material name for a give id

http://render.otoy.com/customerdownloads/plugins/OctaneRender_for_Revit_2014_2_10_0_14_Win64.exe

Hopefully this rectifies all the issues raised in this thread. For scenes saved with previous versions of the 2_10_0_? plugin you may need to "Recovert from Revit" any materials with missing texturemap links.

Paul,

Just did a quick test on the chair model (with 2_10_0_14) and everything seems to be working well. Later on I'll try a full model. Thanks for all the hard work getting me up and running. It's greatly appreciated.

Is it possible you default materials have invalid texturemap folders? If you Reconvert, then save the rvt, I assume you do not need to Reconvert the scene again?
