Rendering interior scene, cloning Octane lights on the ceiling, and there's a window with a daylight system outside. For some reason render is super noisy between the ceiling and the walls, no matter what I do.
Running a 2x GTX 1080 system / Octane Render C4D V3.05.3 / 2.06 million triangles
- DirectLighting Diffuse / 9k samples / Spec 9 / Glossy 4 / Diffuse 3 (tried pulling this up, it doesnt help) > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18957589/Scene%20help/DL%20diffuse%20-%209k%20samples.png
- Direct Lighting Ambient Occlusion / 4k samples / same for other settings https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18957589/Scene%20help/DL%20AO%204k.png Noise is a lot more clean on this one, but then I can't get the ceiling to catch any lights plus the ceiling lamp holes are very dark as well and I don't know how to solve those two issues.
I am using DL because Path tracing and PMC is taking way too long. I am rendering an animation at 4K resolution so I can't do 2 hours per frame, need to stay quick, with DL its around 25 minutes/frame. Post production noise reduction helps a bit but I really need to figure this out the best that I can straight out of C4D.
