Volume Shadows (and volumetric light “glow”)

Please, I am considering buying Octane and I have a question. Is Octane (in Houdini) able to recreate the same effect, as Mantra in the attachment? Most important are those bright areas (A/glow) and deep shadows (B). If anybody would be so kind and make such a scene for me to test the render speed?

Scene file is attached.

Btw as regards Redshift, it can do it but you have to tune the complexity of parameters:

Hi ikoon,

I hope this helps. :D I recreated your scene in Blender also using the Octane plugin for Blender. Each image I rendered to 1000 s/p.

First is the point light source, well kinda, I tried to replicate the shadows you had in your images.

Second is the lighted torus:

I think they look similar to your Mantra examples. It should look just the same in the Houdini plugin.
