Very nice, thanks for all your help and tips on this. One thing I did notice is I was using a flat plane for the displacement surface, whereas you used a rectangular box. Switching to a rectangle proved to give better depth and a more realistic look since there was also no ripping.

you're welcome ;) btw there is still ripping but the box keeps it dark.

Comparing the v2.24 vs v3.0 alpha fog effect, I have to say that the 3.0 does the job noticeably faster.

update on the Scandi house case study. Octane 4 with denoiser
