Sprague Library

Hi everyone. I've been working with the blueprints for the refurbishment of my work's (a college) library into a new learning/lounge space. Initially I did this model in blender using the game engine to create a interactive walkthrough. Anyway, I wanted to see how some of it would come out here with octane. Quite a few fireflies, though not as many as I did from another angle. Materials are still fairly bland. I'll post more areas of the floor as I get them done.
Here's the stats:

1011557 triangles
214/512 megs of 8800GT
2048 samples per pix
render time: 21:51

Here's an updated version of the Sprague Library. I have become a little more comfortable with the materials now and have been trying to reduce the amount of fireflies. Let me know what you guys think.

Here's a shot from another area of the library floor (the classroom). Lots of fireflies from the glass walls I think.

Yes indeed I think the fireflies are due to the galsses of the windows, I had the same problem with a scene, removed the glasses and the result was better and faster too, but no more reflexion in the glasses of course, it may be a solution waiting for mlt.

I'll try removing the glass when I get home from work tonight. Not really getting much reflection or warping from it right now anyway so there's no real reason for it to be there. Biggest problem I've been having is with camera positioning. Is there some x,y,z setting somewhere I can manually enter the camera location/rotation?

In the default Macro node, there's a Thinlens node ... use Pos, Target and Up to manually adjust the camera.

Thanks for the information. I will try it when I get home from work. All my systems here are ATI based (against my will) so I will just have to sit and wait until I get home.
