problems with material pick pointer

Hi,

I am having troubles with the material pick pointer (in plugin version 21). It does not select the material when I pick a point in the OR Viewport. I do have to select the object in ArchiCAD to edit the material setting.
Anyone knows what might be happening or also having problems with that or am I solo on this?

I am sure I noticed the same problem.
It is been a couple of weeks since I used octane for a while so I have to check at which file this came up.
Sometimes I believe that there might be an incompability with a certain file imported (texture not completly recognized from the obj)
but now that you are mentioning maybe this goes furhter.....

Material picking is working fine for me in AC21. Is this problem happening on all materials - or just certain materials pls?

Hi Paul,
This is happening on all... And On all screen of viewport.
When i pick a material on the viewport it just picks another one that seems to be above it or something.
Then I have to pick below or right of the material to get it... Looks like all is scaled virtually.

I cannot reproduce this issue, which is odd. Investigate if it happens when you have zoomed or scrolled the viewport.

Hi Paul,

Now I notice that the Viewport shown is actually always scaled down to the actually Viewport window?
When I make the Viewport bigger or smaller, the shown viewport scales with it always being smaller.
That explains my feeling of sclaed mistake when using the material pick point.

Thanks Jeroen - I will try to fix this in the next release. For the moment, unclicking Resolution Lock should allow you to pick materials.

Hi Paul,

Unlocking the material picker does not make the material picker work correctly, because the render is scaled wrongly in the viewport.

It is very hard to work properly this way...
Or is this issue already fixed in the latest release...?
(I am still in 3.07)

I just had another look at this issue, and could not replicate any problems. Material picking with both Resolution Lock ON and OFF are both working correctly for me.
