Hi Paul,

How can I switch safely from plugin version 19/20/21 and back?
For some projects I need exactly the same workflow in ArchiCAD 19 to get exactly the same wanted result,
So I did not switch to version 20 or 21 yet.

At this point I really need to switch to version 21, but I want to make sure that if needed I can switch back to version 19 later.
what files, folders, settings and so on.. do I need to backup for restore afterwards?

greetings, Jeroen

PS
And all the best wishes for you in 2018.

Hi Jeroen.

For Octane, you should be able to move freely between ArchiCAD versions. However I am not sure if you can open a pln saved with ArchiCAD 21 in ArchiCAD 19, so you would need to test that.

Great!

You cannot open pln in older version of Archicad directly.
To do that you must save the file in Version 20 first, and then open in Version 20 and save in Version 19.
That is done quickly, but the Archicad library objects have to be adjusted to the older libraries as well and that does not go very well in my experience.
To avoid that I now will finally work with Archicad 21, but I needed to be sure that my older projects done in 19 can still be worked with in 19 and also with exactly same render results after having 21 installed.

Greetz,

edited/added:
works smoothly having both installed and switching with different projects,
now I will be able to transform older projects smoothly and work in AC21 only.
