3d Scan Cookie Render

More testing of a3d scanning workflow. Scan was done with Agisoft Metashape --model is a mixture of the scanned model + macro detail via displacement created from the adjusted diffuse. The ground shadow and integration looks a little wonky for some reason but i'm not too concerned about that as my concern was seeing what type of detail I could get out of the cookie from the scan.

The material is fairly simple--Mix Material, blending between a diffuse and an SSS material (a common trick I use for opaque objects so I can have control over the SSS effects more easily) as well as Spec, Roughness and and Displacement Maps derived from the Diffuse.

Please click images to see high res, as there's a lot of nice macro detail going on in texture.

thanks! yeah, I did both the scan and render. Have been working on this workflow periodically the past few years and finally getting the point of pretty consistently good results

Wow, that looks amazing ! How about the preprocessing time with all that geometric detail ?

I forget since it's been a while since I worked on this. I feel like it was only a couple hours, if I recall correctly.

preprocessing, as in the time from hitting render to when it actually starts rendering? I don't even remember, nothing out of the ordinary. It was was negligible enough that that I didn't really think anything about it :)
