Hey guys,

here's a render I did for the simulation tool Storm, rendered with Octane of course.

*EDIT the vimeo code doesn't seem to work...

Wow, this is flawless. Mind blowing. Flirting with the "is this really a render?" department.

This looks great, but as any decent cook will tell you, one of the key attributes of good pasta sauce is that it coats the pasta properly. The thing that makes this instantly identifiable as CG is the way the sauce slips right off, leaving pristine noodles behind. I have never used Storm, but there must be some adhesion controls in there that will do the trick. With that taken care of, this shot will be nearly perfect.

For extra, subtle, verisimilitude, the steam from the pasta would be clouding the inside of the glossy ceramic bowl in sort of rolling waves. Ooo, and maybe a sprinkle of parm at the end!

But that's just me being a picky foody. Nice work!

Thank you jobigoud :)

Thanks frankmci, yes those are the little details to really push it to perfection. On the other hand, there comes a time when you're just sort of done with it you know, moving on :) I played around with the sauce leaving a little bit of trail, didn't really work out haha. I'm sure it's possible , anything is :) Thanks for your reply :)
