Yes Lewis, even if Octane has got a highlight compression to fix the exposure in the brightest areas, it is still far from the result you can get with a custom curve made in post pro, the only software I have seen doing this extremely good is Corona, no others. So I leave the render pretty dark, in order to pop up the middle tones and don't burn the highlights later, in post.

Man, these can really pass for pictures of the real deal! I've been working on an applied case for my marketing classes (basically, you take a real life item, I got this chalet in Switzerland, and you figure the best way to make someone buy it) and I thought for a second that I opened by mistake on of the real estate sites I was working with
