Hi Guy's

Some images from a project i worked on last year here in norway.
Realy loving the power and speed of octane, makes working in 3d a pleasure.

Great work, Interiors looks completely noise-free, how much samples you used (any post process denoising?).

Only thing i miss are ceiling downlighters, i see IES shine but no fixtures/lights on ceiling :).

cheers

thanks guy's

i guess i would have spent 3 weeks working on the project, maybe, in total, with changes etc was done last
year so hard to remember back to be honest, there was 12 images in total for the finished job, a couple more interiors
and exteriors.......

hay lewis, as regards the spot lights, yes was asked not to show the fittings but to have the light anyway
i had to open one of the scenes to check but that last interior, i attached, i had set to 8000 samples, no adaptive sampling back then,
and took about 10mins to render on 7x1080ti's

Interesting that you went 50% on coherent ration, i think i've seen it somewhere in manuals they not reccomend more than 30-40% but it obviously works fine for you so great work :).

Thanks for screen grab.

These are beautiful. Where are you learning how to use Octane to actually light interiors? Exteriors I have no issue with, easy to pick up and learn. Interiors are a bitch and i can't find anything useful online on how to do it. I am trying to figure out how so many HQ pieces online have this beautiful environmental ambient light seeping into the spaces and then complimented by great overall lighting.... how? Everything I try gives me really terrible bounce light and god awful interior general lighting.

If you have time, would yo be able to point me in the correct direction? I am currently using Sketchup and Octane subscription

Hi, as requested by my neighbor above, I will also wish to understand how your interior lighting works.
Me too I struggle to find good solutions for indoor lighting.
All I tried is really ugly.
Thanks to you for directing us.
