Hi guys,

First post here, we are testing Octane at Loucomotion, I hope you like it. Impressive engine! Running on Maya.
We didn't finish the project, still a lot of small adjustments to do but indeed we'll never really end it, so that's it.
Made by Raffo Ignaccitti and me.

We would like to thanks Jolberto for all support on learning Octane. Valeu cara!

That looks fantastic, can you give us some more info about model, you built car or CAD data ? What is the polycount for car (any wires?) you pushed in octane (i remember octane currently have some kind of 78-79 mil polys limit and this loos very detailed/close to limit), which GPUs are used to render, rendertimes,..... tell us all :D.

Thanks

hey Lewis,

it's CAD data except the interior soft parts as the seats.
The full model has aprox. 10mil polys and we keep separately the interior and the exterior, so octane can handle it very well.

for rendering we used 2 gtx 1080ti and it took about 12h each.
we've launched the renders at night and catch them in the morning. ;)

thanks for your comment.
cheers.
