hi!
found some time to gather some projects and experiments!

let`s post some stuff, all 3d, 0 photoshop, octane render v.1.16 till 2.24 used

tuning around for a better shader for ceramics, two mix materials with sss.

finally kind of got the look I wanted through sss, some challenges were maintaining the soft look ceramic has. A lot of times it ended up looking too metallic, or too rough. As well, overdoing sss can really break the material.
Specular map still needs some work. :)

Very nice and inspiring! thanks for sharing! could you post how the SSS render pass looks like? I'm very curious because I've never use SSS for nothing more than soft tissues tests. :o

Oh thank you! very nice looks very soft, so this is the kind of SSS you want when doing ceramics.

yeah it`s one way to it, funny because the ssspass actually looks like some type of molded clay that you use when making real ceramic products!
worked a bit on the specular part and colour, getting there
