6EQUJ5 - Short Film

Around a year ago I finished my first short film which I have just released online. It has Octane rendered VFX throughout so thought I'd post a link here.

All CG in the film was rendered with Octane render for Maya, apart from the solar system graphic for which I just used Maya Software renderer.
When I get the chance (and when I get my Octane workstation up and running again!!) I'll post some VFX breakdowns but in the mean time here is the film.

Cheers

That's some nice VFX work indeed. Especially liked the car scene.

Thanks!

And here are some VFX breakdowns. Unfortunately not as detailed as I'd like but I just don't have the time or capability to do more right now. I built this out of some show reel breakdowns I already had and some final shots from the film. Hopefully it's better than nothing.

Cheers

TBFX, you are my hero!
Amazing work. I was not able to distinguish some scenes as 3D-modelled when I was watching it.
The story is interesting too. Really well-made professional short movie. I'm sure you are one of the best 3D-artists here in NZ.

Thanks JimStar, high praise indeed! I do work with many very talented artists right now so in that way I am at least amongst some of the best artists in the country. Wish I had more time to work with Octane though.

That was good. I did not really see the VFX shots (other than the aleiN). I wondered how you had good good video of an IBM 1403 (i used to fix them) :) did not suspect it was CG. Well done.
