Hi,

I wanted to make some paintings but was too lazy to take my brushes so I finally decided, as usual, to use my favorite 3D painting tools to create some still life images ;)

Modeled with blender
Render with Octane v3 alpha 3
Rendering time quite fast, less then 30 min in ~2800x2400 on 4 GTX

Thanks guys,

Glimpse : I used pathtracing or PMC with HDR map only, I indeed expected some more indirect light but after several tries with various HDR maps but it doesn't change much ...

Splendid, really !
The textures are so detailed, it's awesome ! I really like the mood, the atmposphere ... very delicate and artistic.
Hey, wait, I think I know that painting on the third image :D

What software did you use for the piece of cloth ? Marvelous Designer, just blender, or ... Anyway, the 'drape' effect is beautiful.

Agree with Glimpse on this one. I mean they're excellent (!) but 'something' is missing. Perhaps in your sub-conscious you were creating paintings after all. I think it's mostly the last one - it looks like a still life painting. Perhaps our minds are tricking us with some autosuggestion with the combination of your mention of paint and brushes as well as the stylized compositions that remind us of classical paintings. Could be an interesting discussion...
Best,

Great as usual, but as Italian I must complain that the shape of the Moka in the third image is quite off.

Thanks guys,

Teecee2107 : Hehe, you remember it ! Indeed it was hanged in my office for several years, not a great one but it had some relaxing effect when I looked it.

Rikk The Gaijin : Italiano vero ;-) Well not exactly the same indeed but some Zanzibar models are similar, I should have used the Bialetti for sure, anyway I thought the logo was off with the scene.
