Hi,

I just took some time to test Octane with this home made tree, opacity used for leaves and grass.

Thanks,

I tried the translucenct trick but didn't get the expected result, will investigate later on.
To make the tree I used several tools and modified scripts and some hand work ;)

I love the quality of work. It reminds me the style of a short film ...called "Robot"?
I would assume the heaviest part of the whole thing is probably grass geometry?
The overall color looks like a nice pasture with awesome tree,
good for reading a book in the afternoon under it.

Thanks,
The grass geometry is quite simple as it is composed with several planes mapped with a diffuse and opacity map, very efficient in such situation unless you keep less then 50 degree from the point of vue to horizon. By the way it's indeed a nice place to read some nice book ;)
