Rendering issues

Hello, when rendering in octane I can see the polygons on the surface.
This 3D model was an original CAD file that I converted into an obj file.
If that matters.
I think I ran into this problem before.
But it's been a long time since I've been in octane.
So I have to refresh myself on all the troubleshooting.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
G.I.G.O applies here.
If a broken mesh is brought to Octane, there will be no micracle, Octane will output the broken mesh.

Ensure the mesh is properly triangulated, then double-check mesh-normals and Octane's smooth material option.

It looks like the normals are messed up. Render one of the Normals passes to check for sure.

Settings Tab->Render AOV's->Normal (shading)->Open Viewport and you will so the polygon UV's in RGB format which I am guess will show that they are corrupt.

It's okay now. I finished the project. I forgot to say the client gave me a 3D model engineered file that was in a STL format. I converted it to obj. Most likely that caused the problem. But I was able to work with it without issue.
