Sorry for the grief you are having with this. There have been no other reports of this issue, and I know STUDIO users are working fine with this release.

I suggest you try the following:

1) Install Octane Standalone 2020.2.3 and confirm that it renders by adding a rendertarget to the canvas and clicking on it, and then checking there are no errors in the log (this will confirm that your Nvidia drivers are up to date and installed correctly

2) Make sure you install the latest version of the plugin (2020.2.3.108).

3) The above log indicates that everything is setup OK, and that Poser is /trying/ to load the plugin, but the octane DLL is not loading (this is generally due to your Nvidia drivers not being up to date). However, there is a slight possibility that the fact that Poser is installed on the D: drive is causing the issue, so you could try reinstalling on C: and see if that resolves the issue.

i really need to get back to my production today or I need to work the alternative as above, sorry for my impatience but I am on the verge of an income from my art and need to get cracking cheers

ok thanks I try what you have suggested- I just checked my gtx980ti 's are up to date as far as i can tell, i hit update and the drivers came back the same

Test your Nvidia drivers are work with Octane Standalone 2020.2.3 please. And update the Poser plugin to the latest release.

installed the octane stand alone as you suggested, opened it up it did not see my cards, so i manually installed a new nvidia driver for my cards direct from nvidia, it said installation for driver failed but i opened stand alone again and it and my cards showed up in the devices setting, so i opened up poser and it came up with a box telling me to click here install nvidia CuDnn for octane to work........and yippee ki ay !@#$% octane works in poser 12 and I am back in business
