strange shadows on the floor Tweet

Hello!

I'm rendering this scene, and can't get rid of this shadow, which seems to not belong to anything.
I've canceled smoothing for most of the scene. I've tried to turn shadows off on some objects. even when I turn off "cast shadows" on the main and only light - this appears.

I also tried playing around with ray epsilon, to no avail. any ideas?

Okay, problem solved. for anyone who's curious: I've created a walking path for this scene, and set the opacity down to 0 in octane. it seems that even so, the path somehow casts shadows and was the cause to create that anomaly. path deleted. problem solved.
