Dial linking for more parameters

Hi there,

I've learned through experimenting that by using dial-linking, I can "break" some of the inner boundaries of the plugin. just one example is the intensity of lights: within Octane, there's a hard limit of 100000. if I use dial linking, this limit is not there anymore (I've tried something like 50 million and it works).

can you guys consider allowing us to use dial linking for properties such as aperture/F-stop, as well? it will help a lot, in many ways. first, when someone renders something like a comics, each scene/frame we want to use a different aperture and control the DOF, and we can't do it when using animation rendering - we need to go specifically frame by frame. the second thing is removing the 0.5 lower limit (and it's important for someone that scales scene up A LOT...thus losing the ability to get shallow DOF on some of the really large scenes).

I believe that from the programer's side it's a very simple tweak to add...just allow us to dial-link the F-stop/aperture. is this possible, Paul?

I am really sorry, but the dial-linking is only setup to work with material nodes, and would not by easily transferable to non-material nodes.

The minimum value is obtained from the Octane API. If you export to Octane Standalone, you can override the minimum, so you could render there.
