Animal Fur Tweet

Hi all

I am trying to get animal fur to look more detalied with not much luck, on import the plug in make s it look flat and very matte ive treid playing around but no luck

Woul danyone have sugestions, settings that may work better? I am trying to get the DAZ Big Cat 2 figures to look mroe relistic with the fur.

I'm not sure what textures are supplied with Big Cat 2, so unsure on how to best set this up. As a wild guess I'd say to increase the bump (assuming they have a bump map) and tweak the specular and roughness to get the right fur sheen.

Perhaps someone else who has used these figures could comment.

The Octane LiveDB contains a material called "Fur" and one called "tonysculptor Hair", both in the Misc folder.
Maybe they could be a good starting point.

I am playing with bump / spec and roughness too

i may render the animal in poser and even try in DAZ Reality to see if its Octane or jsut the materials too , its not lookign like fur at the moment its lookign like the panther is where ing a black shirt lol

what i going to try and do for you make sum custom fur for you. as OBJ. Panthers for DAZ Big Cat what pose did you use for the Panther

is it ready made one or custom? if ready made can you tell me witch one you used please as make sure it fits right
Before I start as it will take me quite a few hours to do this I want to make sure you know that this will be extremely memory intensive.
As for is not an easy thing to pull off.

Are you planning to do this is ZBrush? Maybe we can talk off line? I have Zbrush but not sure how you woul go about this?

here you go it not purrrrfect but i think it will do the job ? any way not got lot time at the moment,

its just test render you have to play with the size make sure it fits
