transmapped hair

I am having problems rendering transmapped hair. The Poser figure has blond hair, but when rendered with Octane the colors are wrong.
I have attached screen shots of the Poser shader tree for one of the hair props and the corresponding Octane tree.
Any suggestions?

I think what is happening is that the Poser material has 2 sources of diffuse (Diffuse_Color and Alternate_Diffuse). The Diffuse_Color is gray, and the Octane plugin is using that gray color to tint the hair.

In the material tree, try "Thick = glossy" -> "diffuse = multiply" -> "texture2" and change the color from the gray to pure white (so there is no tint) or brown.

Also, it's possible the specular is too bright and overpowering the hair color, so reduce the "roughness" and "specular" -> "power".

Hope that helps.

That's my guess, too. You can also try to put the diffuse map into the specular node (with power=1 and gamma=2.2) to give it a colored shinyness and fake some anisotropy.
