Poser will have an option of having SubD applied as a render option. That means you can pose figures without subdivision but render them subdivided. Do you guys think that could be implemented in the plugin? It's a great resource saver.

I am 99% sure that it work the same way that Genesis does - where there will be a SubD mesh available. I'm half way through making some other changes to the plugin, so once that's done I'll be able to experiment some more. So rendering of subd meshes from Poser10/2014 should be supported by the plugin.

I just Wanna say thank you for all your hard work, it was certainly worth buying the plug-in
just for your feedback and your hard work in the developing this plug-in to poser.

And just about everything I've asked for you have tried to implement into the plug-in.

I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum who appreciate your hard work

thanks

My understanding at this point is that the subd mesh info will NOT be available to addons like the OctaneRender plugin via PoserPython when Poser10 is released next week. So the plugin will render the base mesh, not the subd'd mesh. You can still use Snarly's subdivider script to subd meshes for the plugin if needed. I expect there will be a Poser service release at some point which will expose the subd mesh to PoserPython, and the plugin will then render the subd mesh rather than the base mesh.

Similarly, softbody deformed meshes may render in the plugin in their undeformed state (I haven't tested this yet), since PoserPython has not been updated to provide these deformed vertex positions. But again, this will hopefully only be a short-term situation, rectified by a service release at some point.

Hope that makes sense....

Paul
