Light Color

Hi all

I am trying to get a red glow from a light, candels, i set up a point light in poser, ran the script to create the emmiter and picked a red color for the diffuse color but the light seems white still

Is there any documents / posts for how to get these colors to work?

Also, I set the opacity to 0 because the emitter was showing - is this teh right thing to do to not show the sphere that is the emitter?

PS - on a side note after a day and half using Octane + plug in its the best $$ i have spent on this hobby. I wish I got it sooner. I waited for reality / poser to be out, this blows that away.

Use a texture emitter instead of the blackbody emission model. With it you can color the light.

Try setting the emitter to blackbody and lower the temperature value. The default value is 6500 but you could try between 3000 and 4000.

If you use the Crate Emitters from Lights script, it will create emitter planes for each light in the scene. In the plugin, Materials tab, select an emitter - you can change the emission color by changing the "emission"->"efficiency or texture" color.
