Do you mean to actually use the 'Multiply' value to achieve this effect, or are you just saying in general that multiplying strength and efficiency will determine the light's yield?

I personally am having trouble setting the nodes up for a single poly plane emitter to use an .ies file for light distribution. Some are suggesting black body, and others texture emission. I would love to see a screen capture of the nodes (all open - not collapsed) from the Poser plugin, if you wouldn't mind.

Also, are IES files greyscale? Should their gamma be set to 1.0 or doesn't it matter?
