I have uploaded a more refined version of the material called "REDZDiffGloSSS Power Bump mod" The way to use it is to right click on your V4 in the Plugin window and remove all bump maps then import the material retaining existing image maps. reduced the glossiness and fine tuned the bump settings.

This is the result of some suggestions I got.
lemme know how you guys find this.

This is the way I made the latest material to look. If you manually set the gamma to something like 2.5 for each material It makes the color more like intended. When you load the v4 character, before you do anything, right click on her and say remove all bump maps, then import my material retaining existing image maps. the bump settings should the be custom. its just the gamma that does not want to stick.

Tell me what Effect you want to achieve, I like a challenge. :)

Im trying with the Diffuse glossy material to get as close as I can toe a more real looking material. The redspec materials is for that 3d wow, look... The Diffuse glossy is for that realism... Maybe I should try something else.

For those that are using the Diffuse Glossy material that I have uploaded, If you are looking for the place where the Transparency and specular maps is kept,( incase you want to create your own one with a bit more detail. \AppData\Roaming\Poser Pro\9 havent had time to create one yet so I made mine plain white. they must be saved in this location for the material to work

It's obvious great minds think alike before you wrote this obviously last night, I had the same sort of idea as yourself,

Basically I use from the live database one of the SSS skin textures and put in my own image maps made a sort of hybrid Diffuse Glossy material .

. I'm now seeing the sort of reflections that looks realistic to myself at the moment.

Realism is part of the game for myself. I could knock out 101 renders per hour.

Both feel it's pointless if the model does not look correct.

This still fine tweaking to be done, but I feel I'm at 80% with the skintype material at the moment.

Skin looks a little bit dark but thik that's due to the opacity settings at 79% work on it over the next few weeks, but I'm pretty dam sure. just about nailed it

Transparency and specular maps actually not had time to play with any the any your findings. I would be greatly appreciative if you posted what you find out

You could play with the Gamma under the diffuse texture maybe setting it again from 2.5 to 2.2. This looks really great.
