If I remember this right, you also need to increase the specular to at least .2 (If you set it too high, they'll look like they just took a swim in mercury)

Something ive done that looks quite good is to use the specular of a high res model...v4 something like MDD P3D or PD characters.... then push the specular strength all the way up until you see fit and the increase the scale of the specular... this cases the small pores of the skin to increase on the specular creating a very realisic water drop like effect on the skin also increase the bump strength of the specular to max. :) hope this helps.

still interesting in 2021 :D i cant get this to work since YEARS... maybe some screenshots of the material settings possible? :)
