How do you prevent a object from casting a shadow. Or casting a shadow on a selected object.
Thanks

Hi,

in the Material Setup, bottom section, you can tick or un-tick the Shadow Visibility.

Setup:
shad_off_vis.png

With Shad.Vis. ticked:
shad_on.png
shad_on.png (255.58 KiB) Viewed 1281 times

Un-ticked:
shad_off.png
shad_off.png (261.64 KiB) Viewed 1281 times

Hope that helps.

Thank you,
Also is there a way to stop an object from showing up in a reflection?
I have an object. I want it to be glossy. But not reflecting anything around it.
So glossy without reflecting.
Thanks

Regarding the Shadow Visibility - there is also the Mesh->Shadow Vis. checkbox that can be turned off. For reflections, I don't think this is possible, although you could play with the material reflection settings.
