Hi

Add a Medium to the Environment->Medium pin, and increase the Medium Radius until you get the effect that you want.

I tried it but it simply darkens the scene, i used volume medium in the medium parameter under environment.
Do you have any tutorials on how to make use of it? I can't seem to make any progress with it. Anything i touch just makes the render dark...
I changed the medium radius from 0.001 to 10000000 no change whatsoever... :/

Try Random Walk, Density 0.02 and a Medium Radius of 100. And tweak those settings to get the effect you are looking for. For you can also increase your Sun power to amplify the effect.

Not sure if you mean godrays, but if you do, here is an example of how to do it.
I used a Poser spot, converted it to emitter and added an IES distribution to create an octane spotlight.
Here are my settings:

Ok, and how to set up the volume so that Daylight Environment as a light source shows in the fog as rays?

I don't think the Daylight Environment works well for rays. Use an emitter light instead.
