why u guys think I was so vocal about it a few months back when I realized they were just shamelessly lying about doing anything.

"a plug-in that cant even import its own format...what a shit show seriously." if this is not obvious to you guys that they are not doing anything then IDK what is. this is their property code, and they "can't" even do it? lol, get real...

I'm moving on to blender cycles, I'm just coming back here to shame them for their lack of integrity, professionalism, and respect for their own customers, and see their pathetic excuses

There is not even a word to ot outcries by OTOY. Looks like they are no longer interested in us. But the fact is this is the behaviour which brings in doom. When you start ignoring neds of your customers, you are bound to go down the drain.

Hello Devs,

Kindly note that this plugin is still not upto mark and OTOY shamelessl claims to be this as best in class. Reemember, if you do not respect your customers, bigger brands have gone down so lets hear what you have to say to the update and fixes to this plugin. Right now this is just peice of junk.

Hey y'all. So I had sent BK a message saying we're all concerned with development of the plugin thus far and this is the response I got.

"Hi Sorel,

Thanks so much for the follow-up.
We have escalated this to Otoy and our upper management that there have been no bug fixes except engine updates.
So, we are waiting for their guidelines on OctaneRender for Daz development.

From our side, we wrote to Daz support last month requesting Daz 5 and responded this:

I've reached out to our Development Team regarding your request for API usage help, and I will reach back out once I hear back from them. We will also be happy to provide the Daz Studio 5 Beta once it has been created.

Have a great day!

cheers"

It just sounds like current daz stuff being old is a problem, though I wish we could get more of an explanation on things.

DAZ 5? Really?
How about fixing some problems for version 4 in the meantime?

Its really shameful OTOY, that despite the customers repeatedly expresssing concerns, there is no answwer or response from your team. This shows your commitment to this plugin and your customers in general.

Does anyone know how to setup and use Daz instances in Octane?
Looking to solve a problem where the Daz renderer removes the instances when an iRay render is completed.
If we can get Octane to distribute the instances based on the Daz setting then this would be an easy enough fix.
