I found version 2020.1.3 and it crashed on start

i have no clue what is going on.
all my problems came after Octane X

don't use to much time on it if i am the only one then i will just go back to iray or older version of octane
Sounds like your Nvidia drivers are out of date.

So recently i have a very frustrating problem. When i apply materials to Gen8 figures, save the scene and then open the scene again, either all or a part of the materials are gone. No matter if its custom materials or materials from the live DB. I deleted the scenes and also the OctaneRender_settings.oczdb/bak a few times with no change. "Load form duf preset" is always checked and i really dont know what the problem here is.

Interessting enough, when i open and modify older scenes i have no problem, the materials are all there when i apply new ones.

There was an issue in 2020.1.3 where Octane would crash in old CPUs. This should be fixed in 2020.1.4 so try with Standalone 2020.1.4 first to double-check this is not the issue.

Just wondering why this displays all the time under the Octane "System" tab.
It says I have Octanerender 2020.1.4.55 Prime... which I thought was the free version for one GPU but in the "OctaneLive Status" it says my Subscription expires in 27 days 10 hrs.
Is the Prime version not free anymore?

Oh and how do I stop all those pesky "Could not download preview" message clogging my "Octane Log" file?

Thanks for any help.

Would was the filename of the installer you ran to install the plugin please?

I think it either means that you are out of disk space, or the material ID for that material no liker exists in the Octane LiveDb (ie. the material has been deleted in the LiveDb, but is still in your cache. You could try deleting C:\Users\[username]\OctaneRender\Cache (it will mean the plugin will need to reload the LiveDb when it next starts).

Hello Paul has any advance been made in regards to:
"8) The plugin will not currently Import Materials from ORBX files where there are multiple materials in the ORBX file."

It's been quite a long time this issue was reported, please keep us updated
thank you

Yes I suspect I have cross-linked installations, I certainly don't have a subscription license and the prime (Free) version is more than enough for the tacky stuff I do. Should I uninstalled both and just install the Prime version. Removing the Poser Plug-in, The DAZ Stduio Plugin and the Standalone... so many options, so many possible stuff-ups with installations.

I deleted anything called \OctaneEnder\Cache, restarted the DAZ Studio plugin and got the same results for "Could not download preview". Attached a grab of my hard drive space available... just how much does Octane need to function?? I would like to think I have neaps of HDD space even on c: Drive.

Thanks Paul.
