Water droplets on body .. not working

Hi .. I recently bought this:

https://www.daz3d.com/real-drops-male-edition

However the materials (or lack thereof .. I think this is using nodes and procedural shaders rather than a texture) .. resulted in the drops just being a bunch of black dots?!?

I tried to assign an octane water shader to them but they still look like black dots .. with a hint of watery-ness about them. Nothing really works and it certainly doesn't look like the iray demo.

Can anyone give me advice on how to make this work for octane render in daz. And no it's no good trying to contact the artist who made the prop.. this is DAZ store we're talking about, they never give a damn contact link!

Any help would be appreciated as these drops just looking awful in octane.

Hmm a possible workaround I just found .. turning off 'fake shadows' .. seems that was causing everything to look like black splodges. This product also has opacity turned to zero when it is converted .. just in case anyone else tries this.
I should add that I assigned a water shader from Octane .. before this just resulted in black .. but again with fake shadows off it seems to look just right .. neato!
