Some may have noticed a greenish tint when comparing Images rendered in Octane to Iray versions.

The greenish tint is produced by the custom response curve "Agfacolor HDC 100 plusCD".

That preset was set as "default" by the original OctaneRender for DAZ Studio plugin developer because it best complemented the material conversion from 3Delight to Octane in 2013.

When you autoconvert materials from Iray to Octane in 2018 that greenish camera response setting may not anymore be a preferable choice.

Either use a linear / neutral response or use any of the other countless custom imager presets to create that type of "photo" or "film" look you like.

The one at the very bottom Response Curve OFF (Linear) is the neutral setting.

Try if Gamma 1 or Gamma 2.2 provides the look you want for each texture...

switch it to linear / neutral.

Cannot check the pc right now to see how the response setting is called in the DAZ Studio plugin.

Thank you, linvanchene - I coincidentally wondered if something was wrong in my impressions as recently decided to change many of my environment gammas to 2.2 and response curves to linear, as the old Agfa default was looking more and more "off" over time. This post confirms that I wasn't just imagining things, at least.

Would you like the default imager settings changed to address the above? If so, what would you like them changed to please?

Paul I think changing the default to Linear with a gamma of 2.2 would be good.
