Is there a way to create a nice cast shadow on the ground of the HDRI image used in the Octane plugin for daz?

Add a plane at the figure's feet to act as the ground and the shadow should automatically render. You need to ensure you are using a HDR image and not a LDR image in order for the sun to be bright enough to cast a shadow.

If you don't have a scene ground/or want only HDRI and a model, just generate a plane from primitives in DS, Create New Primitive>Plane,
then set the plane to diffuse material and activate "shadow catcher", it will act as an invisible floor giving you a shadow cast.
