Weird behaviour assigning materials and geografts

I've recently started working with OCDS again, and have had inconsistent performance when applying materials. Sometimes when I drag and drop a material, it doesn't take but is put in the unused materials list instead. Often this will be the case for 2 or 3 surfaces on a model, seemingly at random. There's been other weird effects, but I've had a hard time repeating and describing them.

I just figured out, that if I delete the G3 anatomical elements, the issues seem to go away.

An easy way to replicate this is by right-clicking the Genesis 3 node. If I do this with a genital geograft, I get:
"Textures for 7 Octane materials" at the top of the dialog.
If I do it after deleting the geo-graft it says:
"Textures for 17 Octane materials"

It doesn't seem to be totally consistant thought.

I'm on OCDS 3.6.5.33
I have deleted the "cache" folder, that doesn't seem to help.

I just realized I somehow got the geograft option unchecked under "Preferences". Checking that seems to solve the issue.
