i've tried to make this neon like sign

its a simple plane with different opacity & colored emiters.

how do i avoid (or smooth) the pixelated emitions ?

Its difficult to tell but its possibly caused by the opacity map not being sharp enough so you have partial transparency along the edges.

This would allow less light to be emitted causing the orange edges.

You could also try tweaking the Sampling Rate and the Diffuse color of the emitter. And trying setting Kernel->GI Clamp to 10.
