Good morning from germany.

I think, since the last update ther is a problem with the glossy in the Octane PlugIn für DAZ.

The automatic material import shows all material glossy.

In Iray the clothes for example are matte und are looking real but in Octane the clothes are looking like glossy plastic or latex.

Thanks,
Michael

Can you pls send me a copy of the IRay material not converting correctly - as per https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=58442.

Hi Paul,

Just come back to Daz to make some animation.
And testing the 3.5.3.30 with a big scene :
- the resize texture seems not reload, but I think it is saved with the scene (reload the scene with the 3.4.5.29).
- big problem with memory use (increase after succesive renders) and many crash.

So back to the stable version 3.4.5.29. And the resize texture works again, and memory use is stable.

I try using in animation "Follow object" mode, but sometime get lost focus. The work around is to use "link to Daz camera" and set DOF and retarget object with daz camera.

I haven't changed anything in the area of memory use or texture resizing. Is this problem happening with other scene's too - of just that one scene?

Hi Paul,

That seems to happend with my specific scene only. Just test with a new one and all seems OK.
Also reload the scene from the previous version work again. So I don't know what happened.

Just to remind me : the resize texture works and affect all scenes (new one based on the resized texture). Is there an option that resized texture affect only the saved scene ?

I am not aware of any such option.

Hi,

Running R3.5.3.30 and still having some issues with object scaling and transforming not updating on the fly. Having to force reload ( doesn't always work ) or change the Kernal Type to see modifications / update render.
Screenshot attached.

Is there a way to remove these unused textures from my scene? The objects don't exist anymore, yet the plugin seemingly retains them. The [x] does nothing. Thanks.
