i was actually in hope that the auto generated mats, which are by no means very complex or in particular tweaked for skin, would give some basic satisfying results for a broader range of stuff, and serve as a starting point for doing much better stuff. these images do indeed exceed these expectations
a little bit of course it is to thank octane for being such a great renderer, otherwise it would not be possible, whatever much or not much tweaking involved.
