Material data is not saved?

I adjust the material for Octane. Then I saved the scene. I reloaded the saved data. However, after adjusting material was gone. Is not the data should be stored in the duf? Or, do I need special instructions to save the data?
My DAZ Studio version is 4.5.1.6.

Hi there could do with a little more information to find out whats going wrong and at what point.

Generally you load content into Daz studio then alter the Octane materials then you can save the Scene. Reloading that scene will have the Octane materials with the alterations you made.

@Tofusan, @guimarconi:
if you still have problems, can you please...
a) check the path for the temp directory set in the daz studio preferences
b) check if that path does exist, and if there is free space on the drive holding this path

-> if there were troubles with this temp path, please set it to a valid directory.

if you still have problems please...
c) create a Zip file containing:
-- any saved scene (with the plugin of course) - doesn't matter if you altered materials
-- the daz studio log file (in ds go to help > troubleshooting > view log file + save it somewhere)
d) write me a pm with this Zip file attached, and write down the temp file path as set in the daz studio preferences

@t_3: Thanks for quick reply.
My Temp folder seem to have been set up correctly. To be on the safe side, I tried to set it again. Then, materials are now saved correctly. However, I have a new problem. DAZ Studio crashes when loading the saved data. I'm going to send you the saved data and crash log.

There seems to be a material that can not be saved again.
Victoria4 materials are saved. materials of Any props are also saved.
However, materials of Genesis figure is not saved.

ok, then please send me another pm with a saved .duf which won't load the materials.
apart from that please do a simple test:
- untick the "automatic material updates" in the common tab
- load a _textured_ genesis
- go to the material tab
- - the right hand tree shows now a bunch of colored surface entries for that genesis (means no octane mats linked)
- - the left hand tab is hopefully empty (apart from the live db entry)
- right click the _root_ entry for that genesis figure in the right hand tree, and select "create all 26 as blank"
- you should now see a bunch of (default) octane materials, and both trees should now show everything non-colored
- save it, re-open it, and tell me what you see or post a screenshot of the trees in the mat tab
thanks...

@t_3:
I conducted the procedure as directed to you.
Materials are lined up in the right-hand side. Nothing in the left.
In my poor English, I may not be able to explain to you well. I attach a screenshot.

i can perfectly understand you :)
so, this is after reloading? then please, once more, send me exactly that .duf, as Zip attached to a pm; and bear with me, i will need some time to look into this really strange behavior...
