I have updated the installers at the top of this thread with:

2021.1.4.132
- Compiled with Octane 2021.1.4
- Fixed issue where LUT files could not be loaded (issue introduced in 2021.1.2.131)

Thanks

Paul

Exactly that was the problem. The units were in mm instead of meters, as I thought. Thank you very much!

thanks, i thought that info is a bit outdated as it was written more than a year ago. will rhino 8 (currently in beta with apple silicon support) change things? i'm not a rhino expert, but when reading the forums my impression was that the newer mac versions are almost reaching the complete level of the windows version. i'm about to invest into rhino coming from formz. i'm mainly using formz (and maybe rhino in the future) for modeling and cinema 4d for rendering with excellent support from octane on the mac side. having octane as a production render directly inside rhino was a big selling point to me.

I still think it would involve a lot of code re-writing. The current Windows version uses specific Windows GUI elements which are unlikely to be available on the macOS version of Rhino - even on Metal (although happy to be proven wrong).

Hi Paul!
Any chance to get a 1.6 build for Rhino? Can't update C4D & Standalone unless we forgo network rendering in Rhino.
Best - Max

Hi Max

I wasn't planning on doing a 2021.1.6 release, as there didn't appear to be anything relevant for the Rhino plugin. If it's absolutely a show-stopper issue for you, I can look into doing a build with 2021.1.6 sometime in the next week.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply. Essentially just an inconvenience, we'll do fine without it probably. It's mainly about stability improvements for us. (Some have experienced more crashes than usual lately, so i would have liked to give them something) If there's no real difference (in either c4d or rhino) there's really no need. If you find the time I'd appreciate it but don't stress yourself.

I have posted the 2022.1 version of the plugin at https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=80879. There will be no more Octane 2021.1 plugin releases.

Thanks

Paul
