I can't apply different octane materials to subjects. I need to explode the object into surfaces to do this.
It's a plugin limitation or I'm doing something wrong?

I'm not sure what you mean by "subjects". Each Rhino surface/solid/mesh can have a material applied to it (just make sure the items Property->Material isset to a specific Rhino or Octane material).
