Ambient Occlusion settings for an interior model

Hello friends,

I am relatively new to Octane and am investigate ambient occlusion.

I have a model of the interior space that you can see in the attachment.

The image looks like the lights are off and the room is being lit by light pouring in from the outside. Is there any way to remedy this? I inserted point lights in to the lamps but they don't seem to be glowing.

Also my windows have no "glass" in them. Should there be?

Any insight would be appreciated.
