sigh - tried to get Octan plugin working for a new project. Open viewport failed (I think old plugin was 3.8ish). loaded latest version which said it was 4.04 but reports on activation screen as 4.00.0.101. Still nothing works. When I try to load the viewport I get:

OctaneRender 4.00 (4000021)
Started logging on 23.05.19 19:11:31
CUDA error 999 on device 0: unknown error
-> failed to link file
device 0: failed to load OSL shader code:
error : Multiple definition of 'cuSptStatistics' in 'cuda_texturenode', first defined in 'snippets_internal'
device 0: failed to compile module 0
CUDA error 999 on device 0: unknown error

Device status seems OK. Renderer set to octane etc. Really no change from past.

Even materials do not render...

But the same material when I switch to a native renderer at least is not borked.

Nvidia 1080ti with driver 430.64 - just updated earlier this week as it happens.

Seems to be some very fundamental driver issue. Have no idea where to go with this. Advice VERY MUCH APPRECIATED
