Rhino 6 SR14 (latest) Render preview broken

I am running the latest revision of Rhino, Octane 4 and Octane plugin for Rhino and noticed that
Rendered viewport preview is broken - everything shows dark grey, not color, no textures etc.
Any thoughts?

Hi. From your description I cannot tell exactly what is happening. Can you provide some screenshots please?

Thanks

Yes, thank you.
I am observing 2 things since I updated to the latest Rhino 6 and Octane releases;

1. The viewport does not simulate material color/textures anymore (it did so very briefly one time) - everything appears grey as in attached screenshot.
2. The Octane rendering does not render mapped textures correctly - to work around I had to recreate all textured materials as Rhino materials, then convert them to Octane, and they correctly rendered (however I still cannot preview them in the viewport).

The material previews sometimes also do not render.

Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Rick

Can you send me a scene which demonstrates these issues please?

Also forgot to note the following behavior Paul, which is new to my Octane experience;

Open the file and click the Materials tab - no details on materials, regardless of material selected.
Just white space (screenshot attached).

Thanks!

Paul,
I just tried the same trick of flipping over to the Octane tab and converting all Rhino materials to Octane (they were already Octane),
and the details for each material appeared as normal when selected?

Thanks,
Rick

Yes - you need to open the Octane tab before you can view OctaneRender materials in the Material tab. The nexty version of the plugin pops a warning message to tell you this.

Thanks for providing the sample file. I think this is happening because of the same reason above. If you click on the OctaneRender tab prior to loading the scene, the Rhino Rendered viewport seems to pick up the textures. I will see if I can find a solution.

Thanks

Paul
