Is there any plan for Octane rendering in Grasshopper? Rhino now has rendering support in Grasshopper natively through Cycles engine and third parties like VRay had Grasshopper capability for years.

There is a new render geometry pipeline in Rhino6 which will probably make this possible, but it will be a significant development effort, so it's something on the medium-term TODO list.

Glad to know that this is on the ToDo list Paul, I think GH rendering is a very attractive feature that will be heavily used by some.

As a side note, the team responsible for Bongo say they are planning on adding support for GH animation via Bongo, so being able to render out that content in GH really opens some doors.
