Live texture mapping changes in Rhino 6

Hi Paul,

Would it be possible to enable live texture mapping "movement" (and scaling, etc) with the Rhino widget within the Octane viewport?

This is extremely valuable when working with wood grains and patterns, so that moving/adjusting woodgrain textures is immediately available and instantly re-rendered.

You had this enabled per my request at one point within Rhino 5 (although not in the latest Octane plugin releases).

Many thanks for everything as always (incredible plugin)!

Nathan

Hi Nathan

I am not sure what you are referring to here. If you move (transform) the texture in the Octane material (in the Image node transform), it will instantly update in the Octane viewport. Which Rhino widget are you referring to pls? Can you provide a screenshot?

Hi Paul,

I'm referring to moving/adjusting or resizing a planar mapped texture (woodgrain in my case) on an object while using Rhino's gumball.

I have to manually refresh the Octane viewport in order to see the new location of the texture on the object. (I can see the texture move in realtime in the Rhino viewport, but the Octane viewport does not automatically refresh.)

Thank you,
Nathan

This should be possible with Rhino6. It may not be in the initial Rhino6 version of the plugin, but pls keep reminding me and I will look into this once other more important features are working.
