wish: assign new texture Tweet

Hi Paul,

here is a wish (I posted it here since it is something plugin specific... I hope this is OK...)

a while ago I asked for an option to help octane find textures which have been moved so the search path is no longer valid. You were so kind to implement this, and it work really good, when I open an old project I can define the new path and everything is fine normally.
Lately we did some restructuring and got rid of a number of old low res textures, now when I open an old project I would love to be able to have an additional option when octane does not find a texture :

Can you add an option to tell octane to use a new texture instead of the old one?

E.g. I open an old project which contains two wood textures that are not so up to date anymore, the folder containing them is removed so octane is asking for a new path or if I want to skip . Here I would love to have a third option "assign new texture" which would let me choose a alternative.

Is this possible ?

This change is not trivial - so not something that I can do in the short-term whilst working on the 3.08 releases, but perhaps after that I could look at implementing it.

Is it possible to maintain connections with (some) shaders like Color Correct?

For example you have a diffuse map and select a color correct node instead of RGB image. Then the connection from the CC node to the RGB image could be maintained.

May I suggest you Copy (the Image node) and Paste (the Image node) instead?
