Ies lighting assistance for spotlights etc

Hi,

Im doing some renderingsof spaceship and want o have some spotlights shining down onto and environment from the front of the ship but I cant make it work.

Ive looked through the manuals for rhino and standalone and doesnt seem to be anything to help me understand how to create a spotlight with hot spots, fall off etc control.

I seem to remember a while ago seeing something inthere about IES light profiles but it seems to have been removed.

I can anyone point me in the direction of some help with IES lighting. Im struggling to understand the process/

Where do i get the IES profiles.
How do i manipulate them
How do I load them

Cheers

Hi alfabruce,
I'm not a Rhino workflow expert, but I think about it like this.

HI Paride,

Thanks for posting that. Ive followed the material specs down to try to create my own.

how did you input the PL1 30 deg ww.ies info into the distribution part. Is that something you found somewhere.

Im really just trying to make some simple spot lights and direct lights but dont know where to start.

Cheers

It is a Greyscale Image.

You cannot make this image yourself. You will need to download an IES file for the light you wish to replicate and load it into the Greyscale Image node.
