I have updated the Rhino5 installer for release 3.08.0.88, due to the previous version writing debug messages to the Octane Log. Pls update if you have previously installed this version.

Thanks

Paul

I just did a test install into Rhino5 SR12, and it worked fine.

The error is saying that Rhino5 cannot find Compat.exe, which indicates a Rhino installation problem.

I installed my new rhino 6 and 7

Interestingly the r6 version of the plugin installed without problems...

I am running the latest rhino SR 14 here...

I will try it on another machine...

I am quite confused by your comments. There is no OctaneRender for Rhino plugin for Rhino7.

What I meant is that I installed Rhino 6 and the Rhino7 WIP , in this sentence I was only referring to Rhino not octane...

As I said, I will try to install the octane Rhino plugin on another machine tomorrow...

OK, just for the record...

I don't know why , but after successfully installing it on another machine, I tried it one more time on my personal workstation, miraculously it worked this time....

so Problem solved...

P.S. the R6 version also runs with the Rhino 7WIP...

I've tried the rhino 6 version, but once I open the octane viewport, it gets stuck to what ever view I'm looking at in the rhino viewport. So I'm unable to navigate around.

yes, it is broken right now... you camn workaround by unlocking the "lock camera " feature in the octane render window, see pic
