Hi Paul

I tried sending it twice ... I think no luck.

It is a fairly large file (120,990,320) .. but not huge

Thanks Eric. I loaded your scene, changed the Scale sliders on the "grass 1"->Diffuse->UV Transform->Scale pin, saved the file, restarted Rhino, loaded the file, and the correct texture scale was loaded. So I could not replicate your problem. Perhaps you are using a different set of steps?

Thanks for looking into this Paul.
After I set the scale on the slider I just click on OK and the texture holds throughout the work session. Maybe i am missing a step or something.
I'll try a couple of times more.
cheers,
eric

Thanks again, Paul

Following your steps works. Great.

Attached is a pdf of the Materials Editor. See where it says Scale Texture (upper middle above the Diffuse portion). That's what I was clicking on to modify the textures. A little slider pops up and it work just fine ... but the result does not persist from work session to work session.

Now, how do I get materials all on the same layer to run in the same direction on different surfaces?

thanks
eric

This is a bug, which will be fixed in the next release.

You need to modify the UV mapping of the geometry. Enable Octane->Settings->Render Passes->UV coordinates, then select the UV coordinates pass in the Octane Viewport to see the UV coordinates on the geometry. You can adjust the UV mapping in the Rhino Properties->Texture Mapping tab for the geometry. You will need to refresh the Octane Viewport after changing any UV's in the Rhino geometry.

Hi Paul

One more question.

I tried switching graphic cards (I have 2 so I usually only direct Octane to use the more powerful one).

1. That one has recently been throwing Cuda errors.
2. I tried the other one buy itself ... Cuda errors
3. Both together ... Cuda errors.

Does this imply that both my cards Cuda cores are toast? No other software I use is having any problems.

I know that hardware is not your specialty .. perhaps you might ask a associate?

Thanks,
eric
